Short Term Catheters
Short Term Hemodialysis catheter is a device to create an access for the Acute and chronic pt. to perform the dialysis. It may be inserted into the subclavian, internal jugular or femoral veins. Short term catheters are generally used for for 2 to 4 weeks. Hemodialysis catheters are often for relatively short-term use because of an acute need for dialysis or because chronic dialysis is just starting.
